Numerical simulation of double diffusive mixed convection in a horizontal annulus with finned inner cylinder.
Le présent travail concerne une étude numérique de la convection mixte à double diffusion autour d'un anneau horizontal avec un cylindre interne à ailettes. Les forces de flottabilité solutale et thermique sont maintenues en maintenant les cylindres intérieur et extérieur à des températures et des concentrations uniformes. Les effets de flottabilité sont également pris en compte, avec l'approximation de Boussinesq. L'effet de convection forcée est induit par la rotation du cylindre externe avec une vitesse angulaire (ω) dans le sens inverse des aiguilles d'une montre. Les études sont faites pour différentes combinaisons de nombres sans dimension; nombre de flottabilité (N), nombre de Lewis (Le), nombre de Richardson (Ri) et nombre de Grashof (Gr). Les isothermes, les isoconcentrations et les lignes de courant ainsi que les nombres moyens et locaux de Nusselt et de Sherwood ont été étudiés. Un schéma de volume fini est adopté pour résoudre les équations de transport pour la continuité, le moment, l'énergie et le transfert de masse. Les résultats indiquent que l'utilisation de nageoires sur le cylindre interne avec rotation du cylindre externe améliore considérablement le transfert de chaleur et de masse dans l'anneau.
